Sir,
We, the residents of Srirampura 2nd Stage, BEML Nagar, raise serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of Kotivruksha Park, which has been left unattended by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).
Due to a lack of watering and proper maintenance, the once-green park has turned into a stretch of dried plants and withered trees. With summer temperatures rising, we warn that the accumulation of dry vegetation poses a significant fire hazard to the neighbourhood.
Adding to their concern is the presence of JSS High School directly opposite the park.
We fear that even a small spark could trigger a fire, endangering students, staff and nearby homes.
The park has become a patch of dead wood. If a small spark occurs, the entire area could go up in flames, affecting the nearby school.
We urge the MCC to immediately clear the dry waste, restore water supply to the remaining greenery and take steps to revive the park before the situation worsens.
