KPCC Women’s Wing Chief calls for blood donation before getting vaccinated

Mysore/Mysuru: KPCC Women’s Wing  State President Dr. Pushpa Amarnath, who is also a former Mysuru ZP President, has called upon youths to voluntarily donate blood in the wake of rising COVID cases and accidents.

She was speaking after launching a blood donation camp organised by Rakthadhana Mahadaana Gobhakta Sanghatane at Jeevadhara Raktanidhi Kendra in Mandi Mohalla here on Saturday.

Noting  that the camp has been organised with the theme ‘Youths, donate blood before getting vaccinated’, Dr. Pushpa Amarnath, who herself donated blood at the launch of the camp, said that youths should donate blood before they get vaccinated for COVID. 

Emphasising on the importance of blood donation as it saves many lives, she said that youths who have already registered with  Cowin portal for vaccination, should come forward for donating blood before they get vaccinated.

Contending that the Government should give preference in vaccination to people who have donated blood, she highlighted that blood donation is a notable service to the society, as it is a life saving one.

Jeevadhara Raktanidhi Kendra Director Girish, leaders Apoorva Suresh, Samuel Wilson, Dr. Mamatha, Sr. Radha, Terapanth Youth Association President Dinesh, Kothari, Devender and others were present.
