Mysuru: Over thirteen thousand candidates appeared today for the written test conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) for appointment to FDA (First Division Assistant) posts in Judicial Departments, at 37 centres across the city.
A total of 18,906 candidates had registered at Mysuru City Centres, out of which 13,611 appeared for the exam, while 5,295 remained absent.
General Knowledge paper was held in the morning session (10 to 11.30 am) while General Kannada & General English Paper was held in the afternoon session (2 to 3.30 pm).
The exams were conducted under tight security, with the Police clamping prohibitory orders in 200mts radius around all the 37 centres.
The centres included St. Joseph’s School in Jayalakshmipuram, Maharani’s College of Commerce and Management, Valmiki Road, Cauvery Educational Institutions, Kuvempunagar, D. Banumaiah College, Government First Grade College, Kuvempunagar, BVB School, Vijayanagar 1st stage, Teresian College and Chayadevi Vidyaniketana school, Rajendranagar among others.
ADC G. Anuradha, DDPI Dr. Panduranga, KPSC Mysuru Zone Assistant Secretary M. Lakshmidevi and other officials visited some of the centres. The written exam for recruitment to SDA (Second Division Assistant) posts will be held on June 16.
