Inspiring batting performances by Jyothi Sai Krishna 73 n.o. (109b, 7x4s, 1×6) and Hanuma Vihari (64, 99b, 8×4, 1×6), helped Andhra CA to post 260 for five in 75 overs in their first innings against Gujarat CA on the second day of the four-day Group ‘D’ league match in the KSCA Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket Tournament-2018, at the JSS-SJCE Grounds here yesterday.
In the other Group ‘D’ tie at SDNR Wadiyar Grounds, KSCA Colts in reply to Madhya Pradesh’s first innings score of 390 in 103 overs, had scored 153 for 2 in 58 overs at close of play.
Openers S.J. Nikin Jose 40 (90b, 4x4s) and Ankit Udupa (31 n.o., 170b, 5×4) gave a decent start by adding 74-runs for the opening wicket. The innings was further consolidated by some good batting by N.G. Sujith (49,75b, 8×4). Sujith and Ankith Udupa added 64-runs for the second wicket and steadied the innings.
