Mangaluru Zone gained the vital first innings lead over Mysuru Zone in the drawn two-day Group ‘B’ league encounter in the KSCA Inter-Zonal U-14 Tournament match played at the RSI Grounds in Bengaluru on Dec.15 and 16.
Put into bat, Mangaluru Zone scored 242 for four in 90 overs. Opener and skipper Rohan R. Revankar top scored with 77 runs (144b, 11×4). P. Pratham (60, 114b, 6×4), Gagan Rao (53) and Achaman Sullia (40 n.o.) were the scorers. Prabhav Sharma and Krish Kedia took a wicket each for Mysuru Zone.
In reply, Mysuru Zone scored 218 for nine in 90 overs. Skipper M. Kanishk top scored with 53 runs. Useful contributions came in from Dhanush Gowda (52) and Prabhav Sharma (25). Rohan R. Revankar took three for 36 while he was well-supported by Pratham Nayak who took two for 17. The match ended in a draw and Mangaluru Zone gained the first innings points.
