Mysuru: The fake marks card racket at KSOU is acquiring gargantuan proportions with each passing day. After KSOU Co-ordinator in Hubballi Manjunath Kulkarni and Health Department official Mallanna were arrested on Saturday last, KSOU Assistant Registrar (Evaluation) Siddaraju was suspended.
And, added to this, an order has been passed to dismiss temporary employee Shivanna. As the CCB Police has registered a case against both of them and taken them into custody, the Higher Education Department Secretary has initiated this action, said KSOU sources.
CCB Police raid: The CCB Police have raided the Administrative Office of KSOU at Manasagangotri campus. They have sealed the marks card printing room and recovered vital documents. They have also confiscated printers and computer data and are investigating.
The Chief of All India Education Trust Som Prakash from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh and mediator Ajay alias Bablu, are said to be behind the fake marks card racket. They would come with the empty marks cards and fill the marks the way they wanted. Likewise, the CCB investigations have revealed that fake marks cards were being printed in more than 70 study centres in the country.
Already ten persons have been arrested in relation to the fraud. As more and more skeletons are tumbling out, the Higher Education Department and the State Government are finding the developments uneasy.
