Mysuru: A notice seeking explanation is said to have been served on Retired Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) M.G. Krishnan in connection with the Rs. 6.3 crore scam regarding printing of marks cards, according to sources.
With former VC of University of Mysore and KSOU Prof. K.S. Rangappa addressing a press meet recently and disclosing that he would come out with a startling revelation soon on KSOU, the KSOU Management serving a notice on Krishnan has fuelled speculations in many circles.
Sources say that notices have also been served on former Finance Officer L. Rajashekaraiah, former Registrar (Evaluation), K.T. Suresh, Deputy Registrar S. R. Raghunath, Assistant Registrar Manjula, Superintendent Anupama Lakshman and staff Nagesh. The Note Sheets in the file of marks cards are said to have been changed which has been confirmed in the audit report. In that context the office of the Governor too had sought an explanation.
The audit report is said to have indicated nexus by KSOU officials to intentionally favour some quarter. The report also cited flouting of tender norms and misuse of extra marks cards. KSOU Registrar is said to have served the notices on Mar.1 seeking an explanation within a week.
