Mysore/Mysuru: Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Prof. S. Vidyashankar met Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, who is also the Chancellor of Universities in Karnataka, at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru on Tuesday. Prof. Vidyashankar had a detailed discussion with him over the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Open University.
The VC explained Gehlot over the preparations for the year-long celebrations. He also provided information on scheduled academic events which is going to take place this year, about the history of KSOU, technical researches, technical-based teaching procedures and conducting Master’s Degree programmes.
They also discussed the issue of giving degree certificates to candidates who appeared for the examinations held during 2013-14 and 2014-15 by the KSOU. The Governor-Chancellor is learnt to have directed VC Prof. Vidyashankar to follow the rules of KSOU and to continue the academic programmes as per the UGC guidelines.
