KSRTC must utilise existing bus stands at Naidunagar, Sathagalli

Sir,

This refers to the recent news item titled “New KSRTC Bus Stand to come up at Bannimantap.” Instead of constructing a new bus stand at Bannimantap, KSRTC authorities could consider utilising the existing bus stands at R.S. Naidunagar and Sathagalli.

This approach would reduce the load on the existing Sub-Urban Bus Stand by at least 25-50 percent, while also making the facilities more accessible to residents in the surrounding areas.

To begin with, a few Bengaluru-bound buses could operate from these bus stands. Similarly, buses from Bengaluru could terminate at Sathagalli and R.S. Naidunagar.

Based on feasibility studies and passenger demand, KSRTC could later expand services from Sathagalli and R.S. Naidunagar to other cities.

To support this initiative,  KSRTC might also consider introducing additional city bus  services to cater to areas around these bus stands, including routes extending up to T. Narasipur Road.
