Mysore/Mysuru: After a four-month gap due to the second wave of attack of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, the Mysuru Rural Division of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) resumed operations to Tamil Nadu this morning.
Mysuru Rural KSRTC Divisional controller K. Srinivas told ‘Star of Mysore’ that 12 buses have plied to various destinations in Tamil Nadu such as Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur and Ooty since morning.
However, KSRTC bus services to Kerala has not been resumed from Mysuru due to an order from the Mysuru Deputy Commissioner, citing high number of COIVD positive cases there, he clarified and added that the resumption of services from Mysuru to Tamil Nadu is as per the State Government’s decision.
The KSRTC had suspended bus operations to Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Apr. 27 last when the second wave of the pandemic struck, it is learnt.
