The Annual Conference of KSRTC Workers Association will take place at Davangere on July 15. Announcing this at a press meet here on Monday, Association’s Mysuru Division leader C.D. Vishwanath said that the conference would discuss the measures for growth of the four State Transport Corporations (KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC) and issues concerning workers and employees.
Also, the Government will be pressed to hike wages and to consider the employees as Government servants, he added. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate the conference at Davangere’s Trishul Kalabhavan at 10.30 am on July 15 in the presence of Sirigere Taralabalu Mutt Seer Sri Shivamurthy Shivacharya Swamiji.
MLA S.A. Ravindranath will preside. Former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Transport Minister B. Sriramulu, MP G.M. Siddeshwar, MLA Shyamanur Shivashankarappa, KSRTC Chairman M. Chandrappa and others will be attending the Conference.
