Mysore/Mysuru: In the wake of non-completion of examinations for the academic year 2022-23 in various Colleges of the State, the KSRTC has extended the duration of student bus passes till October.
Earlier, passes were extended without charging any money. But now students need to pay for the use of student passes in the month of September and October, say KSRTC officials.
Examinations of Graduate, Post Graduate, Engineering, Law, B. Pharma and other students have not yet been completed. In this backdrop, student passes duration was extended earlier for the months of July and August. But some Colleges are yet to complete examinations and there were requests from the student community to extend the duration of bus passes. Hence, KSRTC has responded positively to this and has asked the students to renew their passes after obtaining details of examination dates from their Colleges, said the KSRTC General Manager (Traffic).
But the students need to produce their old passes and pay for the renewal, he said.
