KSRTC Workers Federation to fete CM on Jan. 23

Mysore/Mysuru: KSRTC Workers Federation Hon. President B.S. Suresh said, “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be felicitated in the city on Jan. 23, 2024, for the revival of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) with Shakti Scheme of the State Government.”

Addressing media persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city on Wednesday, Suresh said, “Ever since the launch of Shakti Scheme, about 128 crore women have travelled in KSRTC buses generating a revenue of Rs. 6 crore to KSRTC. Earlier, salary was delayed for several months due to revenue shortfall. Now, the situation has improved with the reimbursement of amount under Shakti Scheme to KSRTC and the salary is disbursed on time, bringing smiles on the faces of family members of KSRTC employees.”

About 12,000 KSRTC employees and their family members from across the State are expected to attend the felicitation ceremony, that would be organised either at Dasara Exhibition Grounds or Maharaja’s College Grounds, added Suresh.

Federation Office-bearers M. Anand Kumar, C.D. Vishwanath, R. Chandrashekar, Javaregowda and Shivakumar were present at the press meet.
