Mysuru: To encash extra rush of tourists during Dasara beginning Oct. 10, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) are organising Hop On and Hop Off (HOHO) service that offers visit to tourist places in the city.
KSTDC officials said that the Mysuru city division of KSRTC was looking after the service during Dasara till this year. It received a good response from the public and to make this service more effective. The HOHO service is mainly seen in the western countries. It was introduced in Mysuru during Dasara 2013 and it is continuing ever since. Now, for the first time, KSTDC is partnering with KSRTC for this venture.
The service mainly concentrates on tourism and gives ample time for the tourists to visit the tourist spots in a single day. Tourists can avail the tour by paying a fixed price for a day’s pass. They can get down from the bus anywhere and hop on to the directed bus. Around 12 buses will be working on this service. The buses will run with an interval of 15 minutes.
