New Delhi: If you want something badly, you have to pursue it. That is what Muniyamma, a resident of a village in Gudibande Taluk of Chikkaballapur District, Karnataka, did as she travelled all the way by train to New Delhi to meet Chief Minister Siddharamaiah to find a solution to her land problem. Muniyamma wanted an alternative land as the land sanctioned to her was in dispute. She ran from pillar to post to get her problem solved but could not. She then decided to meet the CM himself to solve her problem. But her attempts to meet the CM in Bengaluru went in vain as he was too busy to grant an audience.
Muniyamma then got a clue that the CM would be visiting New Delhi so she decided to board a train to Delhi and meet the CM there. Once in the the National Capital, Muniyamma got off the train and went straight to Karnataka Bhavan this morning where the CM was staying.
When CM Siddharamaiah was informed that a lady had come all the way from his own State to meet him in Delhi, he granted her immediate audience. Muniyamma then narrated her story about how she was given the run around in the matter of her land. The CM immediately telephoned the Chikkaballapur DC Dipti Aditya Kanade and asked her to solve Muniyamma’s problem on priority.
Siddharamaiah also asked the officials to serve Muniyamma breakfast and provide accommodation for her at Karnataka Bhavan.
