Mysuru: The JD(S), which launched its poll campaign from Chamundeshwari Constituency for the 2018 Assembly elections on Nov.7, will now hold its ‘Kumara Parva’ rally in Chamaraja Assembly segment of the city tomorrow (Nov.19).
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, former University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor and JD(S) leader Prof. K.S. Rangappa said that State JD(S) President and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy will address the ‘Kumara Parva’ rally near Kuvempu Circle close to Basavanagudi Circle at Hebbal coming under Chamaraja Assembly segment at 5 pm tomorrow.
Prof. Rangappa further said that prior to the rally, Kumaraswamy will open a party office in Gokulam at 4 pm, from where the former CM will hold a road show along with hundreds of party workers on two-wheelers and autos, to the rally venue at Hebbal.
The road show commencing from Gokulam, will pass through Surya Bakery, to reach the venue at Hebbal, he said and added that MP C.S. Puttaraju, senior leader A.H. Vishwanath and other top leaders will take part in the rally.
Mayor M.J. Ravikumar, former Mayors R. Lingappa and B.L. Bhyrappa, Corporators K.T. Cheluvegowda, Mahadevappa, SBM Manju, K.V. Mallesh and Rajeshwari Somu were present during the press meet.
