Labourer stabs manager to death at piggery

Hunsur: A labourer stabbing his manager to death over trivial reasons has been reported from a piggery Hebballa village near Hanagod in Hunsur taluk on Friday late night.

The deceased manager has been identified as Girish Abraham (38), a native of Wayanad district in Kerala and accused is Shamshuddin, who has been arrested and remanded to  judicial custody.

Girish and Shamshuddin were working in the piggery belonging to one Hanif from Kerala. On Friday night, Shamshuddin, accusing Girish of giving him more work and complaining against him to the owner, picked up a fight and stabbed Girish on his back.

Girish, who sustained serious injury and bleeding profusely, was being rushed to a hospital by other workers but is said to have breathed his last midway.

Girish’s brother Vinod Abraham has lodged a complaint with Hunsur Rural Police. Superintendent of Police (SP) N. Vishnuvarhan, Additional SP Nagesh, Dy.SP Gopalakrishna, Inspector Muniyappa and staff visited the spot.

Hunsur Rural Police, who have registered a case, arrested the accused near a bar at Neralakuppe. Police staff Ravi and Imran arrested the accused, Police officials said.
