Sir,
The First Main Road in Lakshmipuram from the Park near Gopalaswamy School was dug up for widening in January 2017. Most of the residents here are senior citizens. It is difficult for them to get on to the road from the footpath because of the uneven road. Many old people have sprained their ankles because of the uneven surface.
Twice, jelly stones were put on the widened areas which is washed off each time it rained. There was no need for widening the road as there is not much traffic in this residential area.
This Road is renamed after Vasudevacharya. Why did they widen the road if they didn’t want to asphalt? The road before widening was in better condition. Do they need three years to asphalt a small stretch from the Park to Nadabrahma Sangeeta Sabha (Five Lights Circle)? Each time the Corporator is contacted, a road-roller or a water tanker will be parked for days/ months together but no work done !
