Lecture-demo on Mysore Mugur style of dancing tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a unique Lecture-Demonstration on Mysore Mugur Style of Dancing by Guru Vidwan Ramakrishna Kodancha from Udupi on June 17 at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.

He will be accompanied by four of his disciples – Tanushree, Disha, Meghana Shettigar and Sharanya; Vocals by Vid. Madhuru Balasubramanyam and Vid. Jyothi Rao.

Guru Ramakrishna, disciple of Karnataka Kala Tilaka Guru Koduvuru Bhagavata Madhava Rao, is a choreographer, director, and Yakshagana artiste.  He is known for keeping the authenticity of the Mugur style of dancing without being influenced by modernisation and preserving the art form in its purest form.

Guru Kodancha runs his own School of Dance, popularly known as Music and Fine Arts Mukunda Krupa in Udupi.
