To hold protest meet at Town Hall premises
Mysore/Mysuru: Left parties have yesterday announced their support to the nationwide strike called by various Trade and Farmer’s Unions on Nov. 26.
Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, CPI(M) District Secretary K. Basavaraju said, “The NDA Government at the Centre has enacted four laws to help corporates. During their first term at the Centre, Modi Government destroyed the economy of the nation through demonetisation and GST. Now, during this pandemic, they are trying to take away worker’s and labourer’s rights by making amendments to the existing laws. The amended APMC and Land Reforms Act are against the interest of farmers. Corporatisation of agriculture sector is their aim. Left parties as well as farmers and Dalit organisations are supporting the upcoming nation-wide strike to be held on Nov. 26.”
CPI District Secretary H.B. Ramakrishna stated that the Unions have organised a protest meet in front of the Town Hall premises on Nov. 26 at 11 am. Over 500 persons will be participating in the protest meet, he added.
CPI(ML) District Secretary Chowdalli Javaraiah, Workers Union leaders Jagadish Surya and Somaraje Urs were present during the press meet.
