Licensed Land Surveyors to take out rally in city tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their various demands, Government licensed Land Surveyors will take out a massive rally in city tomorrow.

Announcing this at a press meet yesterday, Karnataka State Licensed Land Surveyors Association District General Secretary Pavan said that the rally will be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple to the new Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Siddarthanagar at 9.30 am.

Pointing out that Land Surveyors have already launched a protest seeking fulfilment of demands by striking work, Pavan said the rally is an extended part of the protest. More than 2,000 Licensed Land Surveyors from Mysuru division are expected to take part in this rally, he added.

“At present Land Surveyors are getting just Rs. 1,200 for one work and only Rs. 360 in case of any litigations or other impediments. The Government should pay equal wages to Licensed Land Surveyors who are equally qualified and trained just as regular land surveyors. Also, the Government should consider us as permanent staff and should drop plans for new recruitment,” he said and urged the Government to fulfil their demands.

Association office-bearers Mahadevegowda, M.S. Prakash, K. Shivanna, K.N. Kumar and Vijaykumar were present at the press meet.
