Sir,
I would like to draw the attention to the growing challenges and inconvenience faced by senior citizens who need to submit a Life Certificate at their bank branches to continue receiving their pensions and other Government benefits.
While many banks provide a door step service to assist these individuals, this service is often not adequately advertised or highlighted within the branches. As a result, senior citizens, particularly those who are physically unwell, are compelled to visit the bank in person to submit their Life Certificates, which can be both difficult and distressing.
I urge all banks to prominently display information about the door step banking facility in an easily visible location within their branches, preferably in bold lettering. This will help ensure that senior citizens who face physical limitations are aware of this service and can make use of it without undue strain.
It is crucial that we prioritise the needs of our senior citizens and make this process as simple and accessible as possible for their comfort and well-being.
