Mysuru: The All India Food Processors’ Association, as part of its Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, decorated Dr. V. Prakash, former Director of CFTRI, Mysuru, with “Life-time Achievement Award” for his extensive contribution to the field of Food Science, Food Technology and Innovative Processes.
The award was given by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind in the presence of Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Harsimrat Kaur Badal recently in New Delhi.
Dr. Prakash is a Fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Association of Food Scientists and Technologists, National Academy of Sciences, Indian National Academy of Engineering and International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST). He is also a recipient of Padma Shri in recognition of his outstanding service to the Nation in the field of Science and Engineering.
