Lion B.S. Virupaksha Shetty (68), a resident of Kuvempunagar, passed away here yesterday.
He leaves behind his wife Parvathi, son Mallikarjuna Shetty, daughter Mallika Veeresh and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at Veerashaiva Burial Ground in Vidyaranyapuram this afternoon, according to family sources.
