Liquor hoarding complaint turns false

Mysuru: The Excise officials, on receiving a complaint that large quantity of liquor had been hoarded in the house of a Class one contractor for distribution to the voters, had to return empty handed.

The Election Office Control room in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office received a complaint around 10 on Sunday night that liquor had been stored. Based on the complaint over the phone, Excise Inspector Revanth Kumar and Sub-Inspector Mujawat led a team of officials to the house of PWD Contractor H.S. Ramesh’s house in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage and searched the house for nearly half-an-hour. However, they did not find any liquor in the house, said Inspector  Revanth Kumar.
