Benglauru: Excise Minister R.B. Thimmapur has said that the Government is seriously thinking on banning sale and supply of liquor in Home Stays of the State.
Replying to a question by K.M. Shivalingegowda of the JD(S) during Question Hour in the State Assembly yesterday, Thimmapur said that cases have been filed against those selling liquor in Home Stays.
Maintaining that no Home Stay has been granted permission to sell or supply liquor, he said that Home Stays violating rules will have to face legal action and added that necessary amendments will be made to enhance penalty for Excise rule violations.
