Mysuru lad Suraj R. Prabodh, a product of the Mysore Tennis Club, Mysuru, representing India in the India F9 LMW Futures ITF Men’s $15,000 Tennis Tourney at Coimbatore yesterday lost his first round Singles tie to India’s Faisal Qamar 4-6, 6-2, 6-7(2) and bowed out of the Tournament.
Earlier in the qualifying rounds, Suraj Prabodh beat Rishabdev Raman 6-2, 6-0 and qualified for the main draw of the Tourney. In the first round, Suraj beat Arman Bhatia 6-4, 6-4.
Two other Mysuru lads S.D. Prajwal Dev and C. Vasisht lost their first round qualifying round matches and could not progress further.
Rishabdev Raman beat S.D. Prajwal Dev 7-5, 7-6 (5), while Siddhant Bhatia beat C. Vasisht 6-2, 5-2 (Retd.).
