In yet another blow to the common man, who is already reeling under soaring prices of essential commodities, the Oil-Marketing Companies (OMCs) yesterday, hiked Domestic LPG Cylinder prices by Rs. 15 a cylinder with immediate effect. This is the fourth time that OMCs have increased domestic LPG cooking gas cylinders in two months. Following the upward revision, the price of non-subsidised 14.2-kg LPG cylinder stands at almost Rs. 900 while that of a 5.2-kg cylinder costs Rs. 502. Only on Oct. 1, the OMCs had hiked the commercial cylinder price by Rs. 43.50.
