Mahadevaiah (68), a retired Irrigation Department employee and a resident of Siddarthanagar, passed away following a heart attack on Monday evening in city.
He was the Trustee of Bannimakaleshwari and Ayaralli Makammanavara Trust.
He had performed his daughter’s marriage yesterday morning and breathed his last in the evening.
He leaves behind his wife Yashodha, son Rakesh (a BJP leader), daughter Meghana and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at Kurubarahalli Burial Grounds at J.C. Nagar this afternoon, according to family sources.
