Mahadevanayaka (74), a retired teacher and a resident of Hedatale village in the taluk, passed away yesterday in the town.
He was the former President of Government Employees Association and Education Convenor.
He leaves behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at the family’s farm land in the village yesterday evening.
