Mahadevappa (72), retired Food Inspector and a resident of Dasanur village in the district, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in Mysuru on Sunday night.
He leaves behind his wife, one son and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at Dasanur village yesterday.
