MAHAM-2023 enthrals participants, attendees

Mysore/Mysuru: SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (Autonomous) conducted a two-day national-level fest, MAHAM- 2023 recently. The event, which featured a diverse range of cultural and academic competitions, left participants and attendees enthralled with its grandeur.

The valedictory ceremony witnessed actor Poornachandra Mysore, as the chief guest. In a nostalgic speech, he expressed his gratitude towards the college for nurturing his love for theatre and acting during his formative years. He motivated the students to dream big and strive to achieve their aspirations.

Adding to the glamour, popular actors and former Bigg Boss contestants, K.P. Aravind and Divya Uruduga, along with their team, showcased their upcoming movie, ‘Ardhambardha Prema Kathe’ and interacted with students.

Singers Likith Gaayak and Bharathi mesmerised the audience with some all-time Kannada chartbusters. Fashion Designer Palash Bidappa’s showcase of her creations, ‘Closet,’ further elevated the event’s charm. Actors Siddu Moolimani and Dhanveer’s presence created an electric atmosphere as they captivated their fans.

The fest was inaugurated by Sam Cherian, Chairman, CII, and Managing Director, Schevaran Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., Mysuru. He emphasised the importance of responsibility, passion, and mindset for achieving success. He urged the students to focus on upskilling themselves and cultivate meticulousness and perseverance in their endeavours.

T. Muralidhar Bhagavath, President of Mahajana Education Society, delivered the Presidential Address and highlighted the significance of events like MAHAM in providing a platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and bridge the gap between industry and academia. He also announced scholarships for post-graduate students.

 The fest was attended by Dr. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, Hon. Secretary, Mahajana Education Society, Dr. B.R. Jayakumari, Principal, Dr. S.R. Ramesh, CEO and Academic Advisor, Dr. H.R. Thimmegowda, Maham Teacher Coordinator and Head of the Department of Kannada.

Several competitions were held as part of the fest, and students from various colleges showcased their talent and expertise. The prize winners in different categories are:
