Mahamastakabhisheka: Rly. Force provide security at Hassan

Mysuru: During the Mahamastakabhisheka-2018  at Shravanabelagola that was held from Feb.6 to 26, the Railway Protection Force of Mysuru Division rescued six children at Hassan Railway Station and handed over to their parents under acknowledgement.

Beside this, 107 ticketless travellers and passengers with un-booked luggage were apprehended and a fine of Rs.23,135 was collected from them. Also, 33 offenders were booked under various sections of Railways Act. RPF staff secured several luggages of passenger and one mobile phone was handed over to the party.

The entire Hassan Railway Station area was divided into seven sectors, each under one Sub-Inspector/ Assistant Sub-Inspector. A special team consisting of 40 Railway Protection Special Force, Dog Squad from Mysuru and 50 other Railway Protection Force staff from Bengaluru and Hubballi divisions were deployed for the safety of devotees and travelling passengers, apart from this 20 High definition CCTV camera’s installed in and around Railway Station building. Watch towers were also setup on platforms and Station building to monitor the safe movement of passengers and a Security Help Desk was available round the clock for assistance. Since the arrangements and deployments of duties were well-planned no untoward incident were reported, according to a press release from  Prakash Kumar Panda, Divisional Security Commissioner.
