Maharaja’s College students want postponement of semester exams

Mysuru: Urging for postponement of  semester exams for Under Graduate (UG) students of Maharaja’s College, the students staged a protest under the banner of All India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO), in front of Crawford Hall on Wednesday.

The University of Mysore has announced exam notification for Under Graduate exams starting from Dec. 28 this year. But, owing to lack of guest faculty, no classes were conducted since the start from August. However, the classes began after a delay of one-and-a-half months. While just 75% of the syllabus has been completed, it is unscientific to conduct the exams, which results in unwanted mental stress on the students, said the students, demanding the postponement of exams.

AIDSO State Treasurer Subhash Bettada Koppa, District Secretary Nithin, Maharaja’s College students Umesh, Manoj, Kiran Kumar, Mahadev, Santosh, Pooja, Kavana and Radhika took part in the stir.
