Making Mysuru district free from child labour: Labour Department seeks public co-operation

Mysore/Mysuru: The Balakarmika Vikas Society, which is striving for making Mysuru a child labour-free district, has saved 9 Children from child labour in a drive carried out in Mysuru city,  Hunsur, H.D. Kote and T. Narasipur taluks since the past 20 days.

The members of the public are appealed to call Child Helpline – 1098 or Labour Helpline – 155214 in case they come across children working in commercial establishments, hotels, garages, workshops, houses etc. and also found begging at junctions and traffic signals.

The public can also inform local Police Station, Labour Department, Education Department and all other concerned Departments if they come across children engaged in child labour, according to a press release.
