Bengaluru: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, Malabar Charitable Trust, the Charity wing of Malabar Group in Karnataka region, distributed Scholarship for 1,047 girl students (Government College – PUC, Degree and Professional courses) in Bengaluru.
The event was held recently at Malabar Gold & Diamonds – Karnataka Regional office in Bengaluru. Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Principal Secretary to Government, Planning, Programme Monitoring & Statistics Department, inaugurated the function and distributed the scholarship cheques.
Malabar Group Zonal Heads for Karnataka Filsor Babu, M.P. Jafar, Thoufeeq and other Management team members were present during the event.
Until now, the Malabar Charitable Trust has spent more than Rs.1 crore for Scholarships in Karnataka State itself and more than 5,000 girl students had received the scholarships.
This year, the Trust is giving scholarships to around 3,000 students for more than 1 core in Karnataka. Malabar Charitable Trust has provided financial aid for constructing homes for more than 1,200 homeless people in Karnataka in last few years and supported around 30,000 poor patients.
Malabar Group has a strong commitment towards preserving nature and every year observes Environment Day and distributes sapling to the public and also plant saplings at suitable locations.
