Mandya: Mandya SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy has suspended Malavalli Town Police Inspector B. Devaraj for security lapses during the visit of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah to Malavalli on Apr. 20.
Several BJP activists had stopped the CM”s car and staged black flag demonstration against the CM demanding farmer loan waiver, during his visit to Malavalli Town on Apr. 20 to take part in the launching of a slew of development works.
During the stage programme to launch the development works, Siddharamaiah had reportedly given a dressing down to the SP in full public view for the security lapse.
The SP, who conducted a probe, suspended Malavalli Town Police Inspector Devaraj on Friday, on charges of dereliction of duty, it is learnt.
