Mysuru: In a bizarre incident, a 35-year old unidentified man is said to have bludgeoned himself to death in V.V. Puram Police Station limits early this morning.
An auto driver who saw the man repeatedly hitting his head against the kerb stone in front of Chamundeshwari temple adjacent to MUDA Quarters near Cheluvamba Park at about 5.30am, questioned him about his action. As he did not get any reply, the driver advised him not to do so and went off.
But about half-an-hour later, the man was found lying in a pool of blood at the same spot at about 6 am.
He was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he breathed his last at about 7.30 am, according to the Police. CCTV footages retrieved from near the spot, revealed that the man was found hitting his head with a large stone.
V.V. Puram Police, who have registered a case in this regard are investigating.
