Mysore/Mysuru: In yet another case of cheating on the promise of getting jobs, a 46-year-old man has been cheated to the tune of Rs. 48.80 lakh by an alleged recruitment company.
S.S. Kiran, a resident of Sathagalli in the city is the one who has been duped on the promise of job.
Kiran, a Mechanical Diploma holder, came in contact with a recruitment company named ‘Eminent Minds’, when he was in search of a job through Google. Later Kiran sent his bio-data to the company and two days later one Kavita, claiming to represent the company asked him to get registered by paying Rs. 1,000.
Believing her, Kiran got registered, when he was told to pay money through a link, for getting the job he was searching for. Thereafter, Kiran transferred money totalling Rs.48.80 lakh to the account of Eminent Minds Marketing and V-Source Marketing on different dates from Nov. 5, 2020 to April 4, 2022.
As Kiran did not get the job even after months, Kiran came in regular contact with the recruitment company seeking return of money, when he was repeatedly told that he would get the job that suited him. On getting suspicious as he was getting evasive replies, Kiran lodged a complaint with the CEN Police, who have started investigation.
