Mysore/Mysuru: A 51-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging self from a drain bridge at Jayanagar on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Puttaraju, son of Nagaraju of Channagirikoppal here.
It is learnt that Puttaraju was suffering from illness since many years and depressed over this, he hanged himself from the iron of the drain bridge near ISKCON Temple in Jayanagar.
Ashokapuram Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
