Mysore/Mysuru: A man addicted to liquor allegedly stabbed his friend over a petty reason, leaving him injured, at J.P. Nagar in city recently.
Sanjay is the injured person and the accused is Raju, both residents of Mahadevapura. While Sanjay works at a meat shop, Raju is a professional car driver.
On Monday, Raju asked Sanjay to buy him a liquor, while passing near the railway track, on J.P. Nagar-Mahadevapura Road. When Sanjay refused, Raju picked up a quarrel and stabbed the former in a fit of rage.
While the injured Sanjay is admitted at K.R. Hospital in the city for treatment, Raju has been arrested by Vidyaranyapuram Police, who have registered a case in this regard.
It is a second such incident in the recent past, as a rowdy-sheeter had stabbed a real estate agent for refusing to pay his bill, at a bar in Vijayanagar. The realtor had sustained severe injuries in the incident.
