Mysuru, Apr. 27- Music-lovers in city will be treated to an evening of lilting music featuring film hits of veteran Kannada actor Srinath.
Ninaad Musical Trust is hosting a musical evening on Apr. 28 at the Platinum Jubilee Hall of Mysore Medical College Alumni Association, to mark 50 years of Srinath’s cinema journey.
The programme titled Manasa Sarovara 50 will feature singers from Ninaad Musical Trust. Actor Srinath, who will be present, will share his cinematic experience with the audience.
Narayanswamy, known by his screen name Srinath, was introduced to the film industry by well-known Director Puttanna Kanagal in the early 1970s and went on to act in more than 70 films. He is still active on stage and films. The programme is led by A. S. Prasanna Kumar, who heads the Ninaad Musical Trust. Prasanna Kumar is a music director and singer himself and has organised several programmes in the city apart form bagging awards. The proceeds of the previous programmes were donated to social causes. A live orchestra from the Trust will support the singers.
The programme will start at 5.30 pm and entry is free.
