Manasvi’s Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha held

Mysore/Mysuru: The Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha (Arangetram) of N.A. Manasvi, disciple of Vidu. Dimple of KRISHNE Dance School, was held recently at Kalandhika Auditorium, Vasundhara Bhavan, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, to a packed and appreciative audience.

The programme was attended by eminent guests including Sangeetha Kalaratna Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar (Director of Surabhi Gaana Kalamandira Charitable Trust, Mysuru), Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao (Mysuru-based senior Bharatanatyam exponent) and Dr. Chethana Radhakrishna (Director of Gurudeva Academy of Fine Arts, Mandya), who shared their insights and encouragement from the dais.

The main highlight of the Rangapravesha was the elaborate Varnam in Bhairavi Raga and Rupaka Taala, which received special appreciation from art lovers. The audience admired the complex choreography, emotional depth and Manasvi’s neat and confident execution, marking it as the centerpiece of the evening.

The performance was powerfully supported by a fantastic music ensemble, which included Vidu. Dimple on nattuvanga, Karnataka Kalashree Vid. Balasubramanya Sharma on vocal,  Vid. P. Janardhana Rao on mridanga, Vid. Jayaram Kikkeri on flute and Vid. Prashanth Rudrapatna on veena.
