Mysuru: Final year B.Sc (Ag) students of the College of Agriculture, VC Farm, Mandya, took part in work camps at four villages in Mysuru taluk (Varuna, Dandikere, Puttegowdanahalli and Chattanahallipalya) and three villages in Nanjangud taluk (Maradihundi, Tumma Nerale and Nandigunda) over a period of 90 days.
Apart from farming, the students took part in many other activities which included ‘Vana Mahotsava’, Jatha for educating the girl child, Swachh Bharat rally, judicious use of water, etc.
The camp students took out an awareness rally on children’s health at Dandikere village in Varuna hobli, during which the villagers were explained on the importance of maintaining good health and about nutritious food.
