Mandya: Mandya district has slipped to 24th spot in the district wise rankings of II PU results (2023-24).
Though Mandya slipped by 4 places as compared to last year when it stood at 20th place, the district saw a silver-lining in respect of its performance, as it recorded a pass percentage of 80.56, an improvement of over 3 percent (77.47 percent) as compared to the previous year.
Out of the 12,218 students from the district, who had appeared for the exam, 9,843 students passed out, with the district recording 80.56 pass percentage.
B.R. Pragathi of STG College, Chinakurali in Pandavapura taluk, came the district topper in Science scoring 592 marks out of 600. She was followed by Jeevan Gowda (590) and G.Varshini (589) of the same college.
In Arts, Kavya (586 marks) of Sri KVR PU College in K.R. Pet, came the district topper, while V. Madesh of S.S. Swamy PU College, Belakavadi, came second (583) and D. Rakshita (575) third.
In Commerce, D. Ayush (587 marks) of Sadvidya PU College, Mandya, was the topper. He was followed by M.S. Gurukiran of Santhome PU College, Kyathanagere, Mandya taluk and R. Pallavi (584) of Carmel Convent.
