Ganabharathi is organising MANJARI, a special dance programme, on June 7 at 6 pm at its premises in Kuvempunagar. We often remain blissfully ignorant of the millions of natural events unfolding around us with every passing second. There are several forms of life, which we temporarily employ for our own benefit, but we seldom pause to admire and acknowledge how instrumental these entities are in bringing meaning to our lives. We seldom realise that without them, life would be colourless, meaningless and devoid of fragrance and beauty.
MANJARI – Mystique Fragrances, is an attempt to retell these lesser known and often ignored stories of flowers that carry immense mythological, philosophical and spiritual significance through a magnificent and originally crafted solo Bharatanatyam production, featuring Vidushi Divya Ravi and an ensemble of the finest musicians of Bengaluru. Divya Ravi was initiated into Bharatanatyam at the age of 5 and blossomed into a soloist under the guidance of Guru Dr. Soundarya Srivatsa.
She was trained in her formative years under Gurus Kiran Subramanyam and Sandhya Kiran. Her unique production MANJARI has received widespread critical acclaim.
