Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Nataraja Performing Arts Centre, Mysuru, in association with Directorate of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, has organised a three-day ‘Manjira Mahotsav-2023’ from Mar. 10 to 12 at Ramagovinda auditorium in Ganabharathi premises on Adichunchanagiri Road in city.
Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nagesh V. Bettakote will inaugurate the Mahotsav at 5.45 pm on Mar. 10.
Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan will be the chief guest. Sri Nataraja Performing Arts Centre President M.K. Balaraju will preside. Nrityagiri Performing Arts and Research Centre Director Dr. Kripa Phadke will be present.
Bharatanatyam exponent from Chennai Vid. S. Vijaya Kumar will be felicitated.
At 6 pm, Vid. S. Vijaya Kumar will present a dance recital; 7.30 pm – Bharatanatyam programme by Vidu. M. Ananya, disciple of Vidu. K. Brunda and Guru Shankara Skandaswamy of Bengaluru.
Mar. 11 (6 pm): Bharatanatyam recital by Vidu. Mahati Kannan, disciple of Padma Bhushan Dr. Padma Subramanyam; 7.30 pm – Dance by Vidu. Vidyashree and troupe of Gana Nritya Academy, Mangaluru.
