Mandya: Days after the milk adulteration scam, where milk was mixed with equal quantity of water during transportation, was unearthed in ManMUL (Mandya Milk Union Limited), the Government on Saturday is said to have suspended six officials.
The six officials, who were on route duty, were suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. Soon as the scam came to light, the authorities had seized four milk tankers and a case was registered against their owners.
After the scam came to light, the Government has appointed a new MD for ManMUL, replacing Chandrashekar, who is said to be on a 2-month long leave. Chandrashekar is replaced by D. Ashok, who was serving as Regional Director (North Karnataka) of KMF (Karnataka Milk Federation), it is learnt.
