Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy on Wednesday directed the officials to address Pourakarmika issues including glitches in facial recognition attendance system.
He was addressing a meeting of MCC officials and Pourakarmikas at the MCC’s Old Council Hall here.
At the meeting, Pourakarmika leaders urged for one-time facial recognition attendance instead of twice, updation of PF and ESI dues within Jan.25, payment of Rs.7,000 to each Pourakarmika as special allowance marking Pourkarmika Day on Feb.2, payment of Rs.15,000 to each Pourakarmika for the conduct of last rites in case of death and issuance of appointment letters to 1,643 Pourakarmikas who are receiving direct credit of wages, among others. They presented a 10-point charter of demands to the MCC Commissioner Reddy, who subsequently gave oral instructions to the officials to take appropriate measures for meeting their demands.
Pourakarmika Association President N. Mara, leaders T. Srinivas, Armugam, Gurunath and others were present.
