Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) this morning distributed fogging machines to all 65 wards in city. Mayor M.J. Ravikumar handed them over to pourakarmikas who have been trained to operate the machines and spray repellents.
The fogging machines will be taken on a goods auto rickshaw to various locations, especially in those areas where complaints of dengue are more to carry-out fogging to kill mosquitoes and larvae.
Officials were also instructed to carry out fogging works until the end of monsoon season and dengue was under control.
MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha, Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, former Mayors Srikantaiah, Ayub Khan, Pushpalatha Chikkanna, MCC Health Officer Dr. Ramachandra and others were present.
